Choosing a trigger

Choose which numbers start it

Message triggers can often be limited to certain WhatsApp numbers. This is useful if you run several numbers and want a workflow only for Sales.
By default, a new-message trigger reacts to messages from customers. Messages sent by your own team may need a special setting.
Pick the narrowest trigger that works. A “label added” trigger is calmer than “every new message”.
If your workflow sends a message, do not trigger it on every new message without a condition. It may reply to its own messages.
