A saved chat list stores a set of chats under one name. If you message the same audience often, this saves you time.

Good uses

  • “VIP customers” for early offers
  • “Delhi dealers” for regional news
  • “Class of 2026” for school updates
Keep your lists to people who expect your messages. Sending bulk messages to people who did not ask for them can lead to blocks, reports, and a WhatsApp ban.

Create a list

1

Start a bulk message

Open a new bulk message and choose to add chats.
2

Pick your chats

Select the contacts and groups you want in the list.
3

Save the list

Use the save option in the toolbar and give the list a clear name.

Use a list

1

Open the chat picker

In a new bulk message, choose to add chats.
2

Choose a saved list

Select the option for saved lists and click the one you want.
3

Continue as normal

The contacts are added straight away. Write your message and send it. See send a bulk message.

Manage your lists

You can view, rename, edit, or delete lists from the bulk messaging area.
Review your lists now and then. Remove people who have stopped replying or asked not to be contacted.
If you only need to group chats for your own team, labels may be a better fit.
