AI dictate lets you use your voice to get work done. Say what you want, and AI turns it into text or an action for you to check.

Where you can use it

  • Replying in a chat. Say what you want to tell the customer. AI reads the conversation and writes a draft.
  • Chat assistant. Ask about the open chat out loud, like “Give me a summary.”
  • Org assistant. Speak a workspace request, like “Show me chats assigned to Sam.”
See Org and chat assistant.

Dictate a reply

1

Open the chat

Select the conversation you want to answer.
2

Start recording

Click the dictation button, or use the keyboard shortcut if your team has one.
3

Say what you mean

Describe the message in your own words. For example: “Tell her the order ships tomorrow and say sorry for the wait.”
4

Adjust if needed

Dictate again to refine the draft, for example “Make it more formal.”
5

Review and send

Read the draft, fix anything wrong, then send it.

Use it with an assistant

1

Open the assistant

Open the chat assistant in a chat, or the org assistant from any page.
2

Click the microphone

Speak your request.
3

Check the text

Make sure the words were heard correctly.
4

Send the request

Confirm to run it.
Speak in short, clear sentences in a quiet place. Names, product codes, and numbers are the most likely to be misheard.
Dictation and AI drafts can contain mistakes. Always read the text before you send it to a customer.
