Connecting a number brings its chats and groups into your Risponse inbox. You do this by linking Risponse as a device, the same way you link WhatsApp Web.

Before you start

  • Have the phone with your WhatsApp number in your hand.
  • Make sure you can open your Risponse workspace.
  • Use a regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app number.
If the number is brand new, do not connect it right away. Read warm up new numbers first.

Open the connect screen

Sign in to Risponse. On the getting started screen, choose the option to scan a QR code.

Open Linked devices in WhatsApp

On your phone, open WhatsApp settings and tap Linked devices, then Link a device.

Scan the QR code

Point your phone camera at the code on your computer screen.

Wait for the first sync

Risponse loads your chats and groups. This can take a few minutes if you have many. Your inbox fills in when it finishes.
If the scan fails, the code may have expired. Ask for a fresh QR code on the screen and try again.

Good to know

  • Everything the number is part of will sync, including groups.
  • To add or remove people in a group, the connected number must be an admin of that group.
  • You can restart, resync, or remove a number later from your number settings.
