# Create a ticket with an emoji

> Set up a Risponse automation so your team can create a ticket from a WhatsApp message by reacting with an emoji. Fast, simple, and no extra clicks.

With emoji tickets, a team member reacts to a message and a ticket appears. It is the quickest way to flag work while reading chats.

## How it works

You create an automation rule. It watches for a reaction with an emoji you choose. When someone reacts, Risponse creates a ticket from that message. If the chat already has an open ticket, the message can be added to it instead.

## Set it up

**1. Open automations**

Go to the automations area. See the [automations overview](https://docs.risponse.com/automations/overview.md).

**2. Create a rule**

Start a new rule and choose the trigger for a new reaction.

**3. Pick the emoji**

Choose which emoji starts the rule. You can use more than one, such as a pin and a flag.

**4. Choose the action**

Pick to create a ticket, or to add the message to the latest ticket in the chat.

**5. Choose who gets it**

Assign tickets to one person, or share them between team members in turn.

**6. Save and turn it on**

Save the rule and make sure it is active.

## Use it

React to any message with your chosen emoji. A ticket shows up shortly after.

> [!TIP]
>
> Agree on one emoji as a team and write it in your team notes. Pick one people will not use by accident in normal chats.

> You can also create tickets by hand. See [create a ticket](https://docs.risponse.com/tickets-and-tasks/create-ticket.md).
