# Multi-number inbox

> Connect several WhatsApp numbers and handle all their chats in one Risponse inbox, with every reply tied to the teammate who sent it.

If your business uses more than one WhatsApp number, you do not need to switch phones. Risponse shows all of them in one inbox.

## How it works

Each number you connect becomes one of your workspace's numbers. Chats from every number appear in the same list. Each chat shows which of your numbers it belongs to.

When a customer has talked to more than one of your numbers, the chat shows all of them.

## Add another number

**1. Open number settings**

Go to your settings and open the section for numbers.

**2. Add a number**

Choose to add a new number and scan the QR code, as you did the first time. See [connect WhatsApp](https://docs.risponse.com/get-started/connect-whatsapp.md).

**3. Wait for sync**

The chats from the new number join your inbox when syncing finishes.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only admins can add numbers. Extra numbers may cost extra, depending on your plan.

## Reply from the right number

Look at the reply box before you send. It shows the number the message will go out from.

If the chat involves several of your numbers, you can pick the sending number from a menu near the reply box.

## See who replied

WhatsApp does not tell you which team member sent a message. Risponse does. Each message sent from Risponse is marked with the teammate who wrote it. This helps managers review work and helps teammates avoid answering twice.

## Example

A shop has one number for sales and one for delivery updates. The team sees both in one list. A sales agent opens a chat, notices it came through the delivery number, and replies from the sales number instead.

> Use [labels](https://docs.risponse.com/features/labels.md) to mark which team or topic a chat belongs to. It makes a busy multi-number inbox easier to scan.
